Automated Market Maker (AMM)
An Automated Market Maker is a special type of smart contract that allows automatic trading of digitial assets by using a mathematical formula to price assets. AMMs enable users to trade directly with a liquidity pool.Liquidity Pool
A Liquidity Pool in DeFi is a smart contract that holds tokens to enable trading on decentralized exchanges without relying on traditional buyers and sellers. Users (or often called liquidity providers) deposit pairs of tokens into the pool and earn fees from trades made through it.Slippage
The term Slippage describes the difference between the expected price of a trade and the actual price at which it is executed. In DeFi, this happens because prices in liquidity pools change with every trade.
